Women Leaders, Women Healers

Are you sensing a call to heal?

Eight years ago, at the Vancouver Peace Summit, the Dalai Lama voiced two profound declarations: one, he views himself as a feminist, and second, his belief that Western women will save the world.

Gulp....

"Most women I know are priestesses and healers... We are, all of us, sisters of a mysterious order".
Marianne Williamson

This conversation has been rising in my practice with women leaders.

Women who fulfill MANY roles in MANY professions, who, secretly hold  a core deep desire to heal.

This shows up in many different forms. A desire to feel more confident; a desire to be a more "effective leader"; a desire to "experience peace inside, day to day"; a desire to be a "better parent"; a desire to "get better at setting and honouring boundaries"; a desire to simply "feel better in one's skin"; a desire to have "better balance in life"; a desire to "get a better job"; a desire to "contribute more in ways that have meaningful impact:......

On the surface these all appear different in their intention. And yet, a key thread crosses the conversation..... a deep drive to "get better, improve and access more of one's potential".

AND..we must not stop here in the conversation....

What if we were to embody a willingness to step into a discovery process that gets at the roots of our "labeled discontent"?

For some this is a moment of psychological work, for others the doorway is working with a coach, and or is more spiritual in nature.

Regardless of the pathway chosen,

The question becomes...

Am I WILLING to listen & engage the invitation of healing in my life and work in the world?

A key pathway with my work as a coach, educator & mentor is in supporting the empowerment and embodiment sojourn of women choosing to live as spiritual beings, having a human experience.

This is a healing journey, a process.

A “process” that focuses on how to BE more of who we truly are in any given situation as a pathway to "get better".

This is one intention of the Re-Imagining ME & WE work.

Beyond gender ~ Consider...LeaderSelf as Healer.

Energetically, this "call" lives beyond gender.

An invitation for the feminine to take centre stage in the "and" of co-creation with masculine expressions of our being.

For many of us who identify as the gender of "woman", we have a "healing call" of these energetic forces in ourSelves and then as a result, in our work.

As much as we presuppose, "women", we bring something different, what I've experienced in my own journey is, unless and until I own my "over-identification and value of the masculine", I am left "searching & seeking".

This unexamined search often results in leading with an over-utilized and under-nourished expression of the masculine.

In the world of energy, there is no good, bad, right or wrong. No good energy, No bad energy. It just is.

In choosing to pull back the veils and engage the many layers, there is a seed of desire that is ever so gentle and vulnerable.

This can not truly grow if we seek to demand, force or wield it. Rather it seeks to be invited, allowed & revered.

Healing?

Traditionally healing embodies a desire to:

~make free from injury or disease : to make sound or whole heal a wound

~make healthy, whole, or sound; restore to health; free from ailment.

~bring to an end or conclusion, as conflicts between people or groups, usually with the strong implication of restoring former amity; settle; reconcile.

Today, consider:

healing for yourSelf,  beyond the absence of dis-ease;

healing through four different perspectives (light, love, wholeness & power);

healing as a gateway to relate to yourSelf & the world, from the inside out;

how relaxing into an inner call to heal, transforms  your expression of leadership in your work and chosen area of service.

Invitation:

Take a few deep breaths, feel your body open & soften and consider what presents as you soak in these wise words.....

Who do you have the potential to become as you heal as a women leader today?

What's possible for your work & service in the world if you were to empower and embody your holistic nature of leader as healer?

Whether that practically looks like a new way of being in business; a new way of working as a team in your workplace; whether that is a new way of being that fuels governance and change leadership of key societal systems; and fundamentally a new way of living in your skin.

As always, I invite you to connect.

Know that you can stand alone, AND, trust that you do not have to.
