In 2004 I discovered mindfulness for the first time. It blew me away. Imagine I thought, fully experiencing all of my senses as I walked from the bus stop to work. I devoured Jon Kabit-Zinn's Mindfulness for Beginner's CDs. Cd player in my napsack, big head phones strapped to my ears (I know quite the cool image ehh?) I felt like I was on a fast track journey of feeling at home.
This was one of many early stops on the beginning of my awakening journey. My embarkation of empowerment.
